What is Flexwidth?
Flexwidth allows our business subscribers to customize a business plan to more closely suit their bandwidth needs. It can be activated for free with no additional monthly cost if the total remains the same. See below.
How does Flexwidth work?
Say, for instance, that a business customer selects our 4x2 plan (4 Mb/s download and 2 Mb/s upload), but doesn't necessarily need 2 Mb/s for upload. This unneeded upload speed can be "traded" over to download speed.
Here's how it's calculated:
4 Mb/s download + 2 Mb/s upload = 6 Mb/s total
With this plan, a business customer would have 6 Mb/s total "credits" available, with the "credits" distributed by default as 4 Mb/s download and 2 Mb/s upload.
The business customer decides that 2 Mb/s upload is not needed and requests to "trade" 2 Mb/s from download speed. Their new bandwidth plan would look like this:
2 Mb/s download, 4 Mb/s upload
How can I take advantage of Flexwidth as a current or prospective customer?

Restrictions
To qualify for Flexwidth, a commercial account is required.
Upload speed cannot be less than 10% of total "credits". So, using the previously mentioned plan as an example, upload cannot be less than 600 Kb/s.
